I'm a backend and distributed systems engineer with core expertise in Go concurrency, socket programming and low-latency database architecture.
I've shipped production services ranging from a high-concurrency forum to a three-tier search engine that falls through SQLite FTS5, live web sources and an LLM. I care about engineering standards: Docker workflows, GitHub Flow code review, and mentoring the people around me.
Away from the terminal I design, produce music, customise Linux workstations and play basketball.

I design marks, identities and interfaces — the same systems thinking I bring to backends, applied to form.
Design runs alongside my engineering. I build identities and marks like Yitchware and Martian Degree, compose photo-manipulated artwork like the triangle piece behind this site, and design product interfaces in Figma.
At Mynt I led a Figma-based UX redesign of the company's mobile app, bridging design and implementation.
I also produce music — sound, image and code all feed the same craft.
